iheartface contest entry - Contemplative

This weeks photo challenge is titled: Contemplative. iheartfaces defines contemplative as: thoughtful observation; full or deep consideration; dreamily or wistfully thoughtful: a pensive mood; expressing or revealing thoughtfulness; quiet modes of apparent or real thought; can be marked by some sadness, but doesn't have to be.
Here is a photo of Christina taken last Fall during one of our hike at Live Oak. It was such a beautiful day and we stopped to take a few shots. While I was adjusting my camera onto a tripod, Christina started to look around at the trees and birds around us. Here is a shot I took while she wasn't looking at me and I have to say, this is one of my favorite! Who says our subjects should be looking at the camera... some of my best shots are taken when my subject is not looking at me or when he/she isn't expecting to be photographed!

  1. She's beautiful. Love the composition and colors. Fall days are a great time for pictures. I also like shots where the subjects are not looking right at me.
